Thiis my first tutorial so bear with me

1. draw a simple stick figure in your desired pose. Try not to make the limbs too angles, make them one fluid line

2. draw a little plus sign in the middle of the face. This will make the head 3D. Make sure that it goes with the curve of the face and is facing the direction that you wish your character to be faceing, not looking.

3. next draw the shoulders. The red lines mark that the neck should be center with the middle line of the stick figure. The shoulders must be the same whidth apart, unless other wise desired.

4. take the arms to the end of the stick arms. make sure that they either gradually get smaller or stay the same legnth but skiny

5. to draw the body for a guy make the lines curve or stay straight, depends on the pose, but make sure they sat the same width apart and DO NOT GET SKINNIER OR WIDER. its okay to draw over lines that have already been made and be aware that sometimes you may need to start a body a little lower, in the middle of an arm due to the pose.

6. draw the legs where the legs of your stick figure connect. you will need to put a small space between them, so make sure that you do that first. Do the same thing you did with the arms to the legs

7. draw small ovals on the feet where you plan them to face and then turn them into feet. the can be curved or pointed.

8. next is the hands. make sure that there are three index fingers and one thumb. fingers are usually curved unless the species of your character requires otherwise

9. now erase the extra lines in the body. if you went over other lines, be careful of what you erase

10. next is the face. go back to the head and line your face up with the plus. make sure that the eyes are on even sides of the center unless the expression calls for something else

11. draw the outline of the head. make sure to erase the plus and the bottom of the head where the chin would be. it should not be a circle ontop of a head, so ERASE THE CONNECTING LINE!

12. the hair is different for every character but you basically need to make sure that everything is a good ammount AWAY from the head and face

13. clothes are always different but for the neck of a shirt, don't make it a straight line. sleeves can also come away from the body to make the shirt pop out a bit from the body

14. same thing with shorts

15. shoes are simple

16. color and done!
