MEET MY NEWEST BABY!!! RUNE!Rune is an Orc/elf hybrid, the beautiful daughter of mercs for hire. Her parents have sheltered her from their real job, telling their young child they are heroes for hire! That caused a spark in her eyes to shine (much to her parent's fear) and has set in motion young Rune's goal to be a great hero!
Her orc father is a HUGE man, fearsome and violent. Her high elf mother is a beauty to behold, cunning and manipulative with her illusion based magic. Rune....well Rune is kind, sweet and cares for all life. Her parents have no clue where she got it (must have been her sheltered life!) but they love her none the less. Their baby girl wants to be a hero..and they will let her live that fantasy in the safety of their caravan.
Well it took Rune 16 years to get there, dressed in armor and leather, she goes from village to village, helping anyone out that needs it! (most of the time for free, curse her kind heart her mother would say)
SO FEAR NOT WORLD!! RUNE QUAIRY IS HERE TO FIGHT EVIL AND SLAY DRAGONS!! BECAUSE FUCK DRAGONS!
(don't mind the mess, a hero's job is a hard and messy one)

I like the look of her armor, it's interesting to look at plus it shows signs of age thanks to the tearing on the cloth and small patches of rust on her guantlets and greaves. It really gives an idea on how she got that armor as well, or at least it presents an opportunity for a theory

It adds a subtle earnesty to the character like she put the armor together herself from bits of old sets she likely found and put together herself, and/or she's had that armor for so long there's a personal sentiment to it.
Or or at least that's my interpretation~
