Jack Horner and Gregory S. Paul have made their mistakes, but you should still respect them nonetheless.

Define what you mean by "mistakes". That is like how everybody treats David Peters and he made mistakes more minor compared to these two; Gregory is terrible in classifying dinosaurs, he is stingy about people using his art for reference (which is ridiculous); Jack Horner is the reason why Spinosaurus was labeled a "bad guy" for a whole decade after killing T.Rex, he said Triceratops, Torosaurus, Pachycephalosaurus, Stygimoloch, and Dracorex respectively are the same species, going by poor evidence, he also kept bashing Tyrannosaurus as being slow scavenger and didn't do much, the creation of Chickenosaurus, and then he married one of his colleges who is over 50 years younger than him; I know love has no boundaries, but seriously? That is a big step...
I honestly can't respect too much of their opinions these days, I put my money more on Bakker, Larson and Carrano than those two.

I am aware of what they have done, though my point was that they should be respected for their scientific authority. I did not mention David Peters, though I own books featuring his artwork, and I respect his as an artist for his earlier works no matter his thoughts about prehistoric life.Β
I don't take their opinions to heart either, but Peters and Paul are professional artists and Horner is a professional paleontologist.Β

Well I'm just pointing. Cause a lot of there in my view I can't take seriously...I mean what Jurassic Park use to be like is now becoming every other dinosaur movie and Jack doesn't seem like he's saying a damn thing. I can't really respect their opinions that much, unless it is very interesting and there is enough evidence right in what you see in nature I'll consider it, but overall no.
I only respect Greg as an artist, and that he named a few dinosaur genus, but phylogenetic and classification wise no. And after what I've heard that too.
Yeah what you'd have to understand there is a limit to respecting their opinions. Now with Peters speculative reconstructions some are interesting enough to be plausible since we all know skin cells are very delicate and aren't easy to preserve, not saying all of them are correct; but its no right to call him crazy and a fool; the actions of Greg and Horner are higher, Greg renamed Deinonychus as a species of Velociraptor on quick analysis and poor evidence, Jack bashing one of them most famous and powerful theropods to hunt on this earth and call it a lumbering scavenger despite evidence; was just somebody not willing to accept facts and keep things the way they are (that is why he chose Spinosaurus to kill T.Rex in JPIII; mind you he has now seen the errors of his ways). Anyways professional or not they have their major flaws, but don't seem to learn from them in my point of view.
