my camera is good, not great, but good. i took no time in selecting settings, however. very spur of the moment. hm a tutorial... never occured to me. thanks for the ideas :-D

Thank you I'm sure your fireworks aren't crap you're just being too hard on yourself. It really helps if you have a decent camera and you read a tutorial on how to capture fireworks before going out and doing it That is the same for everything else as well. Practice. Practice. Practice.

Love it - fireworks aren't the easiest thing to capture - and you've got it at full extension, with the centre glow and everything.

Nice shot, I like the composition and the vibrance of the fireworks!

What were your settings? Shutterspeed, aperture and focal length.

What are you're experiences with the Sony DSC 828 thusfar? Pro's Con's.

Maurice,

Focal length: 15mm.
F-Number: F/6.3
Exposure: 5 second.
ISO: 800.
3/7/2004 10:07 p.m.

The camera is extremely versatile. It isn't too manual that you'll miss a shot changing settings. The auto focus is good for stationary shooting. The camera's nightshot's are fairly good but it doesn't seem to always capture an entirely black sky. Excellent macro with a lens when a tripod is used. Overall It is a good camera but it is my first so I have nothing to compare it too.

The only complaints I have are that Sony doesn't manufacture a telefoto converter lens and RAW processing takes 11 seconds between shots.
