Description This was taken somewhere along the famous ring road in County Kerry, Ireland, July 2005. Scanned from film, then cropped and tweaked in PS.

Ireland is the greenest place I've ever seen. It's almost too much! And for those of you who've never been, it's probably hard to believe that I have not adjusted the saturation on this photo.

I don't think this is one of my best shots, but I needed cheering up this evening, and this just about did the trick. Any comments and critique would be wonderful, of course.

And if you like this, you might like my other shots of the Iveragh peninsula: Iveragh I , Iveragh II and Iveragh III .

Oh my god. It looks almost. . .painterly, and that fence makes it perfect. You've got such a great sense of composition.

Don't you just want to climb over that fence and explore. This is a superb landscape and I just love the texture in that fence.

Thanks hon. Nope, blue sky... doesn't it look blue on your monitor? It was earlyish in the day, so not overly bright yet.

Yes, I would love to go! So many people that I know have taken the trip and I have a friend who is from Dundalk and goes back every year. Our children are friends. After a few beers though I start talking like her! And after a few more she doesn't even notice! Ha! Anyway, beautiful photo! Hard to believe it is real!! Nice job!
