I’ll tell you of wonderful things.
Of magic ships and fairy lands
of beauties, beasts and rings.”

“I’m tucked in tight.
with my magic sword
I’ll combat that awful king.
Tell me, tell me Sister Dear,
where do I get my ring?”

“From the High and Mighty Dragon
who guards his golden throne.
Be careful now, Little One.
Or he’ll crunch you to the bone.”

“A giant dragon? And lots of gold?
I’m not afraid of him!
Call my troops Sister Dear
We’ll march with ten thousand men!”

“Be careful Little One.
The dragon’s ready for you.
He’s set up a Maiden Fair
a troll, a goblin, and a bear.
Now what are you to do?”

I’ll slay that troll with my sword
and the nasty goblin too. The bear
will carry my Maiden Fair
and that is just what I’ll do!”

“Very good My Little Prince.
You cut that troll in two
And with your magic sword in hand,
the goblin you did slew.
The Lady Fair is your queen now,
The bear, your loyal pet.
But Little one your quest
is not quite finished yet.”

The ring to give your Lady Fair
is still just out of reach.
Maybe if nicely you will ask
The dragon, you, will teach.”

“Dragon Lord, if I am kind
and rule just and fair.
Will you let me have that ring
to give my Lady Fair?”

“Young Knight you are very brave,
your love is pure and true.
So here, this ring, from my throne,
I give it now to you.”

“Now I've a ring to make my queen
the happiest in the land.
I’ll sleep now Sister Dear
and make not one more stand.”

“My Little One, I love you dear.
One day we’ll have a home.
For now I’ll send you off to sleep
and find our food for morn.
Sleep for now Baby Brother Dear.
And dream of feasts untold.
We’ll make the best
Of what we’ve got here
And try to keep out of the cold.

Gods keep my Baby Brother
from ever being down.
Keep his spirits and dreams high.
Don’t keep him on the ground.
This earthly world is not for him.
He has a greater cause.
Let his heart be never grim
Let him break these temporal laws.
