Trying to make this all while still being sick, which was definitely noticeable during the stream. This was actually my 3rd painting I started, but also the one I actually managed to keep working on. Getting interrupted a ton by illness, though. Which took me out of my focus. So it was me trying to scramble things together because I must finish at least something right?!
Could do so much more with this one, but I had to leave it at this. Progress began slow, which cost me a lot of time. Still, the stream was fun, but different as well hah.
I guess it brings some variation to things.
Anyhow, awesome episode. The show staff managed to do so many awesome things while doing so in a way where it keeps a lot of other things safe and intact. While still feeling like it makes sense, and has its own fitting place in the world. So many fun bits.
That Applejack singing, though!!!

Gorgeous work, really. Atmospheric like nobody's business. The color scheme and floating particles in the sunlight make it seem almost as though she's deep underwater. The trees look like they're wearing faces and claws, but only vaguely. Most "haunted woods" pictures make it obvious, but here (as in real life) the illusion works best when you're not looking directly at them. The out-of-focus foreground elements with their soft curves add a subtle undercurrent of gentle whimsy contrasting with the hooked branches in the back. Little Applebloom is almost easy to miss amongst the melancholy scene, it draws you into the space around her so well... she's not the first thing I notice, I have to work a little to find her. I can even admire the decision to place her off-center, giving more space on the right. In the direction her wide eyes are aimed...
All together you've achieved a great balance of creepy and charming. It brings to me a subtle, nostalgic fondness for the night terrors of childhood, the purer fears known to the innocent.

This is exactly what to expect from the artist. The first thing that is noticeable is the successful use of depth-of-field. It really makes you feel like that observer lurking in the dark but in a good way. Don't be afraid Apple Bloom, we're Bronies and we're here to help or one of our favourite princesses. Colours used here are consistent with moonlight or sunlight beaming though the Everfree Forest. The episode was truly imaginative, surreal and well written with elements of The Matrix, Monsters Inc and unexpected bursts of dialogue. These have been hyper-realised for all to see. Well done /)

An exceptional painting for a person that did this while under the weather. :-0 Nice light and darkness contrast, good shading, etc. Just wish AB had a bit more detail, but she's really small, so it's hard to pull off. Had to give a slight penalty to originality as it's based on a mlp episode and isn't completely from scratch. You can tell from looking at AB's eyes and face that she's just plain terrified and seeing her emoting and reaction to the environment just adds to the gloom and overall dread of the pic. Another excellent pic as usual.

This is outstanding work, even for you. It positively oozes with creepiness and palpable fear, reinforced by Apple Bloom all tiny and terrified and alone at the bottom of a very well-framed composition; the out-of-focus elements are arranged just right to give the impression of depth and movement, like a still frame from a movie real as the "camera" moves through the trees at the edge of the clearing. The lighting perfectly captures the trapped underwater feel of a scary dream; you just know that even if she took off running, she would be moving much too slow to escape any pursuer. I can almost hear the off-tempo plucked harp strings of a horror movie soundtrack just looking at this. Bra-vo.

Whoa, did this episode bring in some good content, and this artwork defiantly shows some of those creepy vibes. Being that this is fan-art of the episode, I'm not going to show too much emphasis on originality, but that doesn't mean this was so over-played to the point where I would give it a 1. The technique is very different compared to your previous work although I enjoy this immensely since the style brings out more emotion into the piece, while you previous fan-work looked a little more like play-dough(not saying it's bad, that just how I interrupted it), giving it that cheerful look. This is has more of a water color style, making it look more fluid, especially in the trees. My only issue is that Apple Bloom could have had a little more emotion when it comes to displaying fear, but that's just me.

I love the feel of this piece. You've captured the dark spookiness of something hiding in the shadows that the episode had during those scenes. I love your choice of lighting. The cold green light filtering through the leaves just add to the atmosphere. I like how it's so looming, with it's claw-like branches, just leaning over poor little Applebloom. Speaking of Appleboom, I like how you made her such a small part of the overall piece, almost blending into the colours because when you're in a nightmare like that, sometimes you do feel really small and scared. I also like how part of this piece is just black, with no fill/details because that's what dreamscape is like and it just adds uncertainty to the pile of emotions towering in lil Applebloom's mind.
Overall, I love this piece. The lighting, the scary trees, everything. Good job ^_^

Excellent job on the very big and spooky forest of her nightmare, and Applebloom herself looks great, so timid and scared as the branches and faces loom over her. It evokes a great creepy and fearful mood.
