Fairly inspired by Thomas Bergersen's newest single "Children of the Sun"Been listening to it so much I kept getting ideas and inspiration to make something. What better then to make celly belly? Well... without the belly...

The armour is referenced from my older piece Contact in steel
I had based a Celestia piece on it before, Aerius Sol with her sister's counterpart Statim Luna .
Perhaps this one might be a bit closer to what Luna's piece had going. It wasn't my intention to make it a mirrored piece, so they're still fairly different.
Anyhow, since there was no new episode I decided to do this, which is also a throwback to pre-season Saturday's First Contact War universe art. (Due to the armour mainly)
I've been exploring some more full front view again.
The way I painted this was fairly different or felt old again, but fun!
Sometimes I do wonder how my Saturday pieces would be if I didn't "rush" to finish them in one session.
(My Saturday Stream rule has been to finish one piece from scrap within the session)

My gosh now that is a bad princess alright but really good looking though. Princess Celestia looks insanely awesome! She's really crazy! Love those golden armor she has on super mega cool! Look at her she has the most craziest power nopony ever had or something! Even her wings are spread out and her mane is flowing like crazy. The flames is the most eye-catching part in this deviation also Celestia too. The flames is the scene is so..... COOL! Her eyes are white she's out of control. So cool AssassinMonkey. I can't think of other words that mean the same definition of cool cool is an awesome word.

I usually don't give Fives all around, but I had to today. I'm just amazed overall with the pic. It's also interesting to see how your style has changed over time via the link you gave to your older pic. You do a nice balance of light and shadow and show the sharp contrast between the two. The talk I had earlier with you and Silfoe about the shading of the pic while you were working on it was also very informative. The Gold/Bronze armor gives a nice contrats as it's burnished/gilded look does sit in between the extreme brightness of her eyes and the fire and the darkness of the background. Great pic overall.

THIS FITS SO WELL. Why is it that "kid's shows" cast such powerful characters so casually? And then, since it is still a "kid's show", they never use that power! I realize that the writers mitigate her power on purpose in order to give the main characters conflict, but there have been so many instances where you could have had both power and plot. So unfortunate for all us megalomaniacs out there. Oh well. This art is amazing. Well done.
