Okay so I lied. I'm never got around to submitting that render.
But it's here now 8D
So, I was working on this for a little while, maybe a collaborative 5 hours all up.
The brief was to create a doorway to a level/room within the Hellboy universe (namely the Hellboy: science of evil game). We were to add in a symbol of evil on the door, that was to show that the ameplay was supposed to lead here.
So I took it one step further and put a bunch of "Runes" on everything, and then dropped an Emissive map onto it (this was my first time messing with Emissive maps). I am pretty happy with the outcome. I think I could have maybe put a Cube map onto it, though, distort the reflection a little bit. But i'll mess with distortions later
.I am pretty happy with the outcome of this piece. The textures are pretty simplistic, which I am not happy with, but the style is pretty close.. So I suppose I can't be blamed for the lack of interesting texture. That's my excuse and i'm sticking to it.

I didn't notice it before, but there's the obvious column duplicate. You could've rotated it 90 degrees so that the same stain didn't turn up in the same area. Otherwise, it still looks good

Naaah I couldn't rotate it.
The cylinders are 8 sided, and I have only Textured two faces. So the faces duplicate 4 times on each collumn.
That said, this -was- for Ilia
