Speaking of Erika, would it be bad if we had a Ed/Erika relationship? Their age gap alone is odd, minus the disfigurement and torture.

The age difference would be a bit odd. Erika is even older in my mind than I described her for the rp (about 39). It could still work, given the enormous age gap between Erik and Christine, or Erika could be something of a mother/mentor figure to Ed since he's without parents. What do you think?

Music is what matters the most to Erika, so I think she has to believe that Ed has real potential for her to start seeing him in a new light. He doesn't have to be good from the get-go (Christine apparently sang like a crow as far as Meg Giry was concerned), but there has to be something there for Erika to want to mold into an amazing talent. We could make it all work, I think, as long as it's gradual. But I wonder how he's going to react to her deformity.

Awww... that's really sweet! Maybe she could see Ed's innocence in playing. When she's watching him and he hits a wrong note, she could see him try not to cry (He thinks he's utterly pathetic) and start from the beginning, being stubborn with himself?
He'd probably blink a few times, hug her and tell her he's seen worse.

I could see that. Erika has a soft-spot for innocent, weak people when she thinks she can protect/control them. And, again, it usually ends badly. In my headcanon, the whole Christine-Raoul incident has already happened, but it happened when Erika was a teenager (and they were Christian and Radinka, and they were in Russia). So she has a history.
Then he's got quite a stomach. Not that it's not something you couldn't get used to, but remember that Erika was a sideshow for many years showing off her deformity. And she smells a bit like a decaying corpse, which she tries to cover with perfume.

Her health has been something of an issue. I had an idea that cartilage breakdown is part of it (to explain the missing nose and malformed ears), which starts affecting her breathing and may contribute to other ailments. I wouldn't have to do it for the role-play, but I was considering it as just another aspect of Erika's like that utterly sucks. She tries to counteract her health problems, I think, by otherwise keeping herself in good shape. (Sorry, I couldn't resist.)
