I see "intelletual disability". Not "retard". Just like we don't call mute people "dumb" or handicapped people "lame". I hate when people tell me not to say retarded because it's offensive, because really, it doesn't mean what people really think it means. They think of the slang term that refers to the mentally handicapped, but I believe it comes from the latin word ritard, meaning slow. Therefore, the word really means slow. And when I say gay, I mean happy or joyful/joyous.
So... being able to say retarded is so gay!
And if anyone hates on this stamp, then they need to march their bums over to a dictionary, and have themselves a good vocabulary lesson.

I worked with Assisted Ed kids at my school (yes, we call it Assisted Ed) and they used the term freely and loosely. They'd call each other retards! And when they were asked what they thought retarded means, this is pretty much their thoughts about it. So, I say to you all, though you probably won't even read this:
