If nobody held themselves from commenting on something they don't like, there'd be a lot more negativity, insults, conflicts... We have enough of all that already!
Could anyone explain what's good about this? Freedom of speech is great, but that doesn't mean we can be rude and disrespectful to others... right? I mean, who wants to listen to insults? If insults don't hurt you - good for you, but not everyone will handle them that easily!

Honestly I do kind of agree with the don't like don't comment thing. What point is it of commenting, most likely negatively, on something you hate? If you are putting your opinion about something, fine, but if it's just a negative comment, with no opinion or thought, just because you hate it, what's the point? Just a time waste in my opinion.

Well that's the thing. NOBODY LASHES OUT AT IT. All you see is these 18+ men and women drooling over it. Rarely will you see a troll with some sense that maybe reports it and flames it but it's "rare". I'm talking about all that shotacon yaoi and lolicon yuri.
Even if you do call them out on it, they're usual excuse is "Well they're OVER 18, so screw off". What's the point in making them look like a kid then? Exactly, they like seeing little children doing each other.
Especially on fanart seriously, Naruto, Sasuke, Sakura, Inu, Ciel, Alois, Ichigo, Orihime, etc... Those are the characters you'll see usually put together. Little girls and little boys paired together and put in these gross ass fanfictions and shit where they're all having raunchy, random buttsecks and crap. Anyone under the age of 16 is considered a child. All of those characters, they're starting ages are all under 16. So yeah.
