Elf children are making a big snowcastle somewhere in Lapland. Traditional Finnish elfs are more like gnomes or leprechauns, than traditional "Santas little helpers" what you maybe know, and they use always such red pointy hats and coats.I made this digital painting for my favourite irc-channels "virtual Christmas calendar" in 2005. I use wacom and photoshop.

You know what this reminds me of?; the Water Tribes in Avatar: The Last Airbender. This could easily be a fortress/lookout tower utilized by the Northern Water Tribe.
