This castle is located about 80 kilometers north from my home in a town called Savonlinna. It has always been my favourite castle in Finland, because most others have only square towers or they resembled more like an stone houses or mansions than "real castles". en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Olavinli…

St Olaf's castle had originally more towers, but two has fallen or dismantled between the 17'th century wars. Aerial photograph is scanned from old travel brochure printed about 20-30 years ago and bailey area on the middle looks very different in nowadays. They are organising big opera festival in every summer and have built massive auditorium & tent structures on that same area.
