Good work with the contrast between the characters and the background, my friend!~ The purples and blues swirling around make both characters stand out, as if they're in the eye of the storm. It shows the amount of trouble and struggles that both of them have to overcome for the sake of each other, regardless if it's from in-universe fantastic racism or... you know what I'm talking. c; Personally, I find it fitting for this piece, especially the Pocahontas reference through the lyrics and that scene from the movie... which I have not seen in years. orz
I like the shading of Celeste's hair and tail lots! Most particularly because of the faint dashes of purple and pink present to show that the background is reflected off of her fur, haha~ The shading on Snively looks just as amazing as Celeste's, most particularly because of how you'd shaped his head and neck with the various shades of skin colour! Heck, he actually looks more human in your style than how he looks in the Archie Comics!

SWeetie- this is beautiful! I love how gentle and flowing it is, and the colors are really eye popping! The eyes really get me though- both Snilvey and Cels! They're big, expressive, one gentle and the other having much wonder! The way he's gently hold her arm too is such a sweet touch! The upward motion of swirling leaves and the lift to her hair though allow so much movement within the picture! T_T It's really beautiful!
The lyrics you used to describe it all is so apt to describe this and can be used on many levels. On one hand Cel could say it to him to try and open his mind seeing as he's got such a hatred of Mobians. On the other it could be an outward statement at the viewer to see more to Snively as a character than what meets the eye.
Either way, a bridge is being built in the quest for better understanding!

The entire song's lyrics and animated scene from the movie came to me that they can relate to these two strongly; Celeste represents Pocahontas' gentle nature and pacifist, sense of wanting calm atmosphere and balance
While I view Snively perfectly as John Smith, ignorant about the other race, yet he's intrigued by Celeste, regardless she's a Mobian he yet does not understand until he opens to her teachings.
It opens up to both worlds trying to understand each other, but one is moreover convinced that they shouldn't be so ignorant about the world around them and individuals that differ.
I had fun with this! It's one of the first expressive artwork I've done for my gallery, it really encourages me to do more of these. The contest was perfect for the opportunity, and Celeste/Snively contrasts in a way where they build something interesting!
