Not meaning to be annoying, the way she wears her hair, is typical for Maiko, Geisha (Geiko) apprentice.
A Geisha wouldn't wear her hair like this

Oooh I don't think it'd be seen as offensive. What's offensive is people thinking that Geisha's are prostitutes. 
I just pointed it out because it's not accurate and I thought you might like to know
Fun fact, Maiko are made to look more visually appealing, because they need to compensate for the skill they lack, that Geishas do have. ^_^
