thankyou very much for the wow. I am basically self taught and have been painting for over 30 years (lots of practice). Just keep drawing and you will improve.

Great work, that brought back a memory of a cat in Mexico I encountered just sitting near by as I was eating outside. Lots of Wandering Dogs & Cats there.

pastel is my favorite medium..it seems to give a deeper, softer look. *I can't work in them currently because I'm not sure how to ship them to customers..

I love pastels for depicting animal fur textures. (and it is a lot quicker than oils). There is a special paper "sounds" like glycene that you can put on top of the work that doesnt disturb the pastels, if you wedged the drawing/painting with this between 2 boards it should ship okay. ...

What a surprise! I was drawn to this thumbnail, pulled it up, and sure enough it was one of yours. I should have known. You always put out such beautiful work so filled with light.

Nice! The cat's so vivid!I didn't know pastel can create such delicate work. Btw, is the cat looking down at a little bug?lol

The warmth of your colors contrast with the lonely isolation of the cat in the corner. It's beautiful, and yet it's a cracked and peeling alley or some such place. What a lovely, well executed painting and at the same time very real feeling and very 'solid'. I can't help paring it with your Cat Fan piece, [link] , a kind of warm and cool set.
