Despite the light pollution you've got pretty good detail. What mount do you use?

Thanks!
I mounted my camera piggy back on the mount of the local observatory in Aachen (I used to work there as a freelanced guide).

Thanks.
I am afraid, the sky over Aachen (where I shot it) was very light polluted. Turning donw the Sodium-Yellow, made the shot slightly blueish. But I sort of like that look, though it is not scientifically accurate.

Where'd you take this shot from and what settings did you use?

I took this shot in Aachen, Germany.
I used a Nikon D70 and a manual 135mm/2.8 lens. It's actually an addition of 16 exposures, 2min each.

Wow, only 135mm and you were that zoomed or did you crop?

It is definetely a crop of the original. I have no idea how much I cut away, as this is a couple of years ago. I will check and add the info to the image.

Hey Dude
I just had a look at the original, my crop shows a quarter of the original field of view (half of the length, and half of the width).
