~Nvidia Speak Visual Submission~

Before the dawn of time the Cosmos spoke visually and continues to do so with its myriad forms of creation. Among the exponential visual expressions created in the universe one, sentient beings, endowed with the powers of mental and physical (visual) creation initially created myth and applied logic to better express their understanding of the visual universe. Long before organized language systems were developed, cognitive beings communicated visually, using body language such as gestures and more complicated body movements to represent concrete and abstract concepts. It was a natural development for them to apply such concepts using graphic representations. At first such representations were simple images scratched and/or painted in the soil, on rocks and other available natural resources. Eventually, written languages developed based upon these simple visual representations. Among other ancient civilizations, the Egyptians developed hieroglyphics, a beautiful and complex visual representation of their spoken language. Archaeological discoveries reveal that from the earliest times humans demonstrated an obsession with, what they considered, the supernatural elements of the sky. The night sky obviously held a special fascination for all ancient cultures for it is copiously represented in much of their visual arts. In fact, a direct relationship can be traced from the most ancient civilizations to contemporary ones revealing how visual communications, or speaking visually, shaped the course of history and directly spawned a wide array of technology which eventually created a global and, most assuredly, a universal technology based upon digital communications. Speaking visually has never been as essential as it is today. The Cosmos has thus endowed one, perhaps myriads, of its creations with the ability to see or examine itself and reflect itself back into its creative womb by speaking visually… The image I created focuses upon the aforementioned creative processes of the Cosmos. A star-birthing nebula, deep within the womb of a jetting quasar galaxy, is alive with visual communication. Even to the astronomically uninformed, the image speaks visually to any viewer. This is accomplished by the particular use of graphic elements including color, lighting, form, and the placement of elements within the piece to create a sense of drama and movement in an otherwise static image. Speaking visually, by incorporating these elements in this image, enables me to speak to the body, mind, and soul of the viewer and, hopefully, inspiring them to be likewise creative. This is, after all, the primary purpose of speaking visually. Visual representations energize static concepts, endowing them with the ability to transcend static representations, thereby creating new ideas which have and shall transport sentient beings beyond the threshold of physical experience to new frontiers of mental and moral development . . .

Greetings,

Thank you for visiting my Galactic Visions Space Art gallery and your comment . . . Yes, Robin, I suspect that an important clue is hidden in this wall of text so read carefully . . . Crime fighting is far more than dynamic physical feats of wonder you know . . . Take a photo with your Bat-Berry and, now, back to the Bat Cave . . .

My best,

Wow. I just love the spiral formation. And the mist on the bottom adds a bit of a mysteriouse feel to it. Very nicely done.

It's supposed to be at least 2550x3300 in 100dpi.
Also, did you forget to put the claw in, or am I missing it?

Greetings,

I submitted it according to the guidelines however, I had to provide a preview image as the file was too large to be displayed. We were instructed not to send the original file which is in the format the rules indicated. No, I did not forget the claw. In fact, it is a vital part of the entire composition. It isn't as obvious as simply looking for a defacto image of the claw. Think more abstractly and I think you will have no difficulty seeing the claw. I don't want to tell anyone directly as I would much prefer they use their observation and divergent cognitive skills. The judges expressed they wished to play a game of looking for the claw logo. I do appreciate your inquiry for I am sure you thought I simply forgot the aforementioned.

Kind regards,
Michael C. Turner
