Well, thanks to some good night's sleep - and since it's my day off - I feel slightly lighter

ANYWAY. Yeah, those of ya'll who are familiar with the Spectator Entry I made for last year's Survivor: Deviant Art OC tourney will recognize a very distinct throwback to it... it couldn't be helped ^^
Yep. Straitjackets. Couldn't think of anything else. I mean, these guys don't have any superpowers to speak of... right? Right?

All your Colosseum stuff has been unfailingly brilliant, but the Sol vs Toro match is a particular highlight for me (which does beg the question of why I'm only getting round to faving it now. Simple answer: I am rubbish). Pace-wise it's perfect, like all the other episodes of Sol's story, and the action is breathtakingly energetic, but the story struck me as being particularly impressive β the switch from comic zanyness (I just adore the crowd scenes here; there's more great drawing and genuine fun crammed into one of those frames than the entirety of some graphic novels) to brutal drama is like a punch in the face, entirely appropriately, and the ending is extremely satisfying. Plus, of course, the whole thing just looks marvellous β Sol's as awesome as ever, and I love your take on Toro. You really let the courage and nobility of the character shine through his somewhat swaggery exterior, and it's a pleasure to see. Fabulous work all round!

AW YEAH! This fight was AWESOME! I've seen it again and again, but it still rocks so dam hard!!
I love the little prologues you gave for Toro and Sol, the accents for him and Huey were right on!
And how bout that part when Tyrone's screen gets PWNT to dust!?

Quite a good style on el Toro there. You added some detail in the outfit, and I like that long hair.
So is Sol's name pronounced like the short form of the American name "Solomon" or the Spanish word for "sun?"
I like how evenly divided the crowd seems to be.
I can see some good muscles in those straitjackets; you drew 'em well.

If it's the American pronunciation, that would make it sound like "Saul", right? I always imagined it to be pronounced with a rounder 'O' sound, so I guess, yeah, it's pronounced the Spanish for "sun".
