My grand experiment in cross-hatching, shading, line art and mood that started out as a visual aid to my livejournal post ; This was inspired by National Geographic's incredible new documentary of the same name. The idea of Judas having a gospel written according to him was so stunning, that I had to write about it. I imagined this portrait of him - dark, hagard, brooding, clutching his gospel as if it were an earth-shaking secret.

I am absolutely unsure about my shading/coloring here I just went wild with this one, shading here, "skritching" there (that was the sound my pencil made when the sharp point scratched against the paper), and such. I have absolutely no idea either where my light source is. This is my first step to becoming a better colorist/inker.
