I should be reviewing perfection. But I just really wanted t talk about this one first. It's my favorite of the season so far. The first five minutes are dedicated to the usual Luka stuff. Him being everyone's therapist. And man he's such a great guy. Since Felix ended up with Kagami. I WANT LUKA TO END UP WITH SOCQUELINE! C'mon! It's perfect! Both are way better friends then Alya, that's for sure. Then Bob shows up angry about Jagged not being there to record his album. He then learns that Jagged has a son. Then Anarka comes in and PUSHES HIM OFF THE BOAT FROZEN STYLE. I love his woman! Bobby boi then comes back and offers kitty section a record contract. Which Luka and Marinette remind him that he already said he would when he got caught ripping them off in Silencer. Speaking of Silencer. This episode plays like a seaquel to Silencer. What with it being about Luka and Bob roth. And I love it! Of course he was just fibbing out his butt to save his career. So he fibs some more about how he was just looking for the "right time" Anarka then refuses to let these kids sign contracts with this sleezy man. SO SHE THROWS HIM OFF THE BOAT AGAIN! Luka then convinces her to give Bob a chance. And of course Bob continues to gaslight them into signing. And surprise, surprise. It was all a ruse, and he now owns their entire band. And then proceeds to fire everyone except Luka. Who is feeling terrible about how he let this happen. And I hate to be that guy. BUT YEAH, WHAT DID YOU THINK WAS GONNA HAPPEN GUYS? And I gotta love how Bob puts on scuba gear. Knowing full well what Anarka's gonna do next. And man I just love Bob for how much of a turd he is. So Gabe then sends a Megakuma after Luka to turn him back into Silencer. Which we know is not gonna happen given the fact he knows both of the heroes identities. So he desperately tries to resist. Gabe is surprised with how desperate he is and senses that he knows with that cool star thingy he has. Okay, s that's a problem. We know that he knows that he knows. And he now wants him to talk. Luka then refuses to sing for Bob at all and rips up the contract. But the idiot has copies. And is once again pushed off the boat. Gabe's found his perfect villain to get Luka to talk. So Bob's akumatized into Gold record. I said in my Ephemeral review Bob was on the top of my list of characters to get akumatized. And lets all be honest. That was only two minutes. AND HE HAD TO SHARE IT WITH ADRIEN. So they were smart to reakumatize him this season. And Gold record is a complete overhaul of Moolak. His design is pretty cool. And his power is that he's armed with a record he throws like a frisbee. and whoever it hits turns into a record that'll sing their deepest secrets. And he's given Voyage to boot. Alright, good thinking with this one, Gabe. So Gold record proceeds to go ham on everyone on the boat, while sending the records he doesn't like into space with his portals. Also I love the moment where Goldy spares the rubber duck record and sends it to his office. Luka then puts specific effort into hiding the duo. Because, you know. HE KNOWS. So Ladybug takes Luka to hide while Chat distracts Goldy. And I gotta say. I love their dynamic. Also HE MADE A RECORD OUT OF A FLIPPING ROOFTOP. I'D AY GOOD MONEY FOR THAT ONE. Meanwhile Ladybug's lucky charm gives her the plan to use Luka as bait to distract Goldy long enough for her to make him drop his record. We then get a great scene where Luka tells her he knows. So we know she knows he knows now. Long story short the plan works. Also Goldy seriously didn't think to portal the record back to him? And I love how he just refuses to take the charm. And one last time Bob's thrown off the boat. Luka then announces he's gotta leave town since Monarch knows he knows. And then we get a wholesome ending where Jagged decides to watch over his son. And I love the "My family is my only guitar line" Though I think a better ending would've been Anarka and Juleka coming as well. Still a wholesome ending to an amazing episode
