Description
The human has died.
Within the twilight of mortality, an anomaly stirs. Betwixt peaks and valleys of time, undaunted by its seabed depths where forgotten lie entwined, the human spirit prevailed. A whispered hymn woven across epochs - in the name of dreams, the human was born.
ideation + process:
Heavily inspired by Nesskain's works, particularly their early underwater ones . In fact, most times whenever I portray these two, I usually use Nesskain's work as a springboard for the feel and aesthetic I'm trying to go for. I don't know what it is, but those particular pieces moved me so much when I was still trying to find my grounding in digital art. The ethereal atmosphere, the contrast of colors, the emotion and sentiment it captures is something I wish I could emulate but never could quite get there. But I definitely wanted to try!
I never thought such a simple piece would cause so much indecisiveness on the end. The final processing was so minute, only choosing between slightly more contrast vs. a more blueish tone by single digit degrees of difference. So much ruminating but I feel that either one I went with, I'd be satisfied. Some of you may notice some errors present as well, such as crop marks [most notable in the background] but in a strange way, I kind of like it lol. Probably a stupid decision.
