kinda different, i guess. The blue circular swirl was a cover-up. This whole thing started off as just a cover-up for this sun on her butt, and before we knew it, i was drawing out this whole thing. I love it when that happens.check out all my work at www.imagineartistry.com

Of course you love it when something small ends up becoming this huge piece. You get more money XD No, but seriously, this is amazing. I'd have you do my next piece (an entire back tattoo) in a heartbeat.

Might be possible eventually since my family sans myself is moving to Sausalito eventually. I may end up in Seattle, and if not I'll visit them anyway. My plan is a flying Microraptor (dinosaur crazy). I was hoping to have white accents, but that's not overly important since I've heard most artists won't use white ink. If in color, it would be somewhat like a Grackle (they have those black feathers that look blue/green/purple - gotta love birds).

what accents are fine. you just dont want to go tooooo crazy with white. it also depends on the person's skin tone as well. i looked up the microraptor...that would be a LOT of fun. you just have to be careful how much color you put into it b/c; a)all colors are merely just a theory, and b)dont want t o make it look comic book-ish and not have it's predatory/dinosaur coolness lost and everyone asking you if its a Macaw or something like that.

Exactly. I'm going to be studying to be a paleontologist. The advances that have been made are amazing. We can actually determine pigments from feather imprints. The Micro was one of the first they looked at and it was, in fact, black and iridescent much like Grackles (and hummingbirds/peacocks if you want to get into that metallic sheen thing XD). While a macaw-colored dinosaur would be cool...definitely not realistic at all.

ive got a dinosaur tattoo on my shop computer that ive had in my documents folder for over a year of two velociraptors in the forest. its one of the most beautiful tattoos ive ever seen in my life!!!! i know you dont want those dinosaurs, but as ive stared at this tattoo for a year, your tattoo excites me to want to do something equally is amazing. send me your e-mail and ill send you the photo. since you love dinosaurs (who doesnt??) i want you to see it.

Velociraptors (well...the Jurassic Park ones, which were actually Deinonychus; ahhh movies) got me into paleontology in the first place. I'd love to see it. I'll send my email in a note.

yeah, i guess it can be a bit far. but actually had 3 clients in the last 2 yrs travel from germany to get a tattoo from me, granted, they were very large, but its a great excuse for a vacation. ever been to California?

i'm not sure. one idea is a cerberus, i really like the idea and the creature. the other idea would be near to what you show here. but i don't really know how to connect this to my backpiece and it even shoulf fit to my inked necklace

oh man, ive been wanting to do a really really cool and realistic cererus for YEARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! really nasty, drooling saliva and just the coolest cerberus on the planet!!!!
the filagree is great too and could do something very elegant and classy too, but they are two totally different concepts so its obviously up to you.

Bad jokes aside...this is a beautiful piece. I would be spellbound if I saw this on someone and would be way, way too eager to see exactly how much of it there was. I can't get the thought of some magnificently decadent yakuza-style ink done completely, or mostly, out of jewelry like this.
