The Dragon's Waltz was created as a trade for Fox Amoore, an excellent musician and a brilliant artist, to compliment his remake of the song by the same name, located here: [link]

It isn't often that I do things based off music, but after a previous piece, Viva la Vida, I decided it was about time to try some more! Luckily, Fox and I caught each other at just the right time it seems. I really wanted to capture the feel of movement, both in the song and in my image, both to capture the bright and fluid quality of the music and to accentuate the chroma-pigment in the dragons. A lot of inspiration came from the song, and also from Marie Cannabis' work in the platinum and golds of her chromadragons. Even though mine are a bit of a failure in comparison to hers...I tried? DX

This was created on 14x16 illustration board, or at least I assume that's what this stuff is. It's stiff, not canvas, but textured like canvas...anyways. Mixed media [markers, acrylic paints, watercolour pencil, coloured pencil, and white gel pen]. Fox's songs, a shitton of Monster Energy drinks and 13 hours later, we have shiney things. [orange=shiney, FYI]
