Cool!
What you think of fmr Maine Govenor Angus King running for govenor?
The fact he's running as a independent with no party backing him, makes me hope he succeeds, we need more politicians like him, not one belonging to either party
Of course though he can still caucus with either the Dems or GOP for committees chairs

Well just because he is an independent does not mean he is a just man. I admit I am unfamiliar with much of his policies and upon googling him it does not offer much to the type of leader he would be other than bipartisan... though for me being bipartisan on policies and principles is a failing thing. I will have to look for more information from him.

Maybe you should check what he did as govenor as maine?
He did back George Bush for reelection, and backs barack obama for reelection,
I think what the point I'm trying to make is, that he doesn't belong to either party so therefore he'll put the interest of his constiuents first then the interests of a party (Which he doesn't belong to, and I hope he does look out for the average joe), I mean it flashes back to that debate with David Gregory when Jon Huntsman bashed Mitt Romney for putting party first instead of country, and since Angus King is a independent and not a republican or dem, and will likely vote for whats best for the country, after all his purpose of entering the race because of the gridlock and partisanship that caused snowe to retire.
After all you once praised Maine for being independented minded, voting republican senators while elections dems to the house and voting for the democratic nominee.

"Maybe you should check what he did as govenor as maine?"
Is this a question or a statement?
"He did back George Bush for reelection, and backs barack obama for reelection, "
That tells me either he hacks who has a chance of winning or stands on no real principle.. sorry but anyone who backed the ideology of Bush it would be difficult for me to trust the,...
Well I would rather someone belong to a party and stand on a set of ideas, than belong to no party and go whichever way the wind blows. Though I believe one can be a member of a political party and not be so partisan as to deny the view of another.
Every politician says they will look out for the average joe.. until elected then more often than not, that changes.
I have no problem with party of the politician is principled. Simply not belonging to a party does not make one automatically principled. I have many conservative independents I disagree with heavily, and some left leaning ones I do as well.
"After all you once praised Maine for being independented minded, voting republican senators while elections dems to the house and voting for the democratic nominee."
You are using a logical fallacy, I praised the people of Maine, and it being a swing state. It would be a logical fallacy for you to try to extend to to an elected official simply because they interest you.
