Description Today, February 6, 2021, is the one thousand, one hundred and thirty-second day of my Daily Dinosaur series, where I draw a scientifically accurate dinosaur drawn to scale with a human. Today, I have chosen the mamenchisaurid sauropod, Yuanmousaurus jingyiensis.

Yuanmousaurus is a genus of mamenchisaurid sauropod dinosaur that lived in China during the Middle Jurassic period. This dinosaur was a close relative of Mamenchisaurus, Tienshanosaurus and Chuanjiesaurus.

Yuanmousaurus' name means "Yuanmou lizard", after Yuanmou County in China where its fossils were found. Since this is a geographical location, today's piece is simply a lateral reconstruction.

That's all for now folks! Stay tuned for more tomorrow!
