Description Today, April 23, 2020, is the eight hundred and forty-eight day of my Daily Dinosaur series, where I draw a scientifically accurate dinosaur drawn to scale with a human. Today, I have chosen the mamenchisaurid sauropod, Qijianglong guokr.

Qijianglong is a genus of mamenchisaurid sauropod dinosaur that lived in China during the Early Cretaceous period. It was originally thought to be from the Jurassic, but a 2019 study reinterpreted the age of the formation it was found in.

Qijianglong's name means "Qijiang dragon", after the Qijiang District in China. Since this is a geographical location, today's piece is simply a lateral reconstruction.

That's all for now folks! Stay tuned for more tomorrow!
