I drew this when the idea of Lars being Filipino was floating around tumblr. It wasn't even official when I drew this but I had the drive and the inspiration to do it. It's always difficult to find people like me in entertainment and so when I found out that there is a pretty good chance he could be Filipino, I jumped on it and drew him like this.

I didn't expect this one to get so popular though and I never knew the impact it had on people till I started bringing it to Anime Expo. This is probably one of my best drawings I've made in my life thus far and I'm loving what I did with the colors.

My favorite part is the reflected violet in his hair. What's your favorite?
