I love Blue Diamond and her overall design. When I first saw her, she reminded me so much of Mother Mary which inspired this picture. I remember growing seeing images and statues of Mother Mary crying while carrying Jesus that as I made this one, I pictured exactly that.This piece is not to express any religion in any way but the pain and sorrow of the character. I decided to hint pink in the piece as well to have an accent of a warm pink glow to represent Pink Diamond.
My favorite part of this piece is the hood and he background. What's yours?
