Description I got this idea while playing with Rhombic Flower. It turned out to be something like a wreath so I put a star to the middle.

I looked around to see if someone else got this idea before me but it seems that I am the first

It took me two days to fold. It wasn't the most difficult tessellation I have made nor the longest time I have spent folding something but while I was folding it I felt like the time is passing by very slowly. So I decided to name it White Death because I felt like I will die before I finish it. :-D

Awesome! Any chance of a CP? I might want to fold this someday when/if I get the paper.
Also, what's the grid? Largest I've ever folded is 128ths.

If I prefold a big chunk of paper all therianles are croked and the lines not parallele.. I stick to small stuff for now

It is truly brilliant, you must have been so patient!

Atriee In reply to Revenia [2012-12-31 09:23:34 +0000 UTC]

Yes. You learn patience with every model you fold. And also you have to tell yourself that you can do it and that it will be wonderful.

Thank you! Tessellations are great. You should try them as soon as possible.
Eric Gjerde's site [link] is good for anyone who wants to start folding tessellations.
To please your ego I would like to say that your 365 Days of Origami project was wonderful.

thx, ego suitably massaged - 365 was nuts but an interesting journey that re-awakened my interest in folding paper and increased my skill level no end

Atriee In reply to neubauten [2012-12-31 18:28:54 +0000 UTC]

Yeah well, I should try something similar. I have a lot of diagrams but I don't fold. I never liked folding animals because I always thought that having an easy elephant next to a difficult dog in the same size is pointless. So I got stuck with kusudamas, other modular origami like from Tomoko Fuse, geometric stuff and tessellations. Now I want to fold complex models and I see that my skill level has an end and that I am unable to fold them.

the simpler models are often harder to fold, few creases, self-determined landmarks and a gentle touch are interesting - much of Yoshizawa's work exercises restraint to bring out character - lots of fun to try

Atriee In reply to neubauten [2013-01-01 15:45:33 +0000 UTC]

ok, then next I will try to fold something from Yoshizawa's work
