one art student,one art student,
one art student,
one art student, and an art canvas
two art students, holding the other
like art students,
but three art students
never came
four art students,
might as well have been two pairs
the way each hold the other
and their art canvases as umbrellas
to the sun painted slightly white today
uncaring, to the art students
walking by my pretty bench
that I swore some art student made
some time ago
and that I swear I’ll try to forge
some day anyways, when there
are no art students,
just a poet,
and his eager escapades
and can-do-anything personality,
because a poet
isn’t an art student
