Funny how I caught myself being happy, onceIn line for coffee, pretty deep from the teller
counting change and singing
from her speakers,
accents tonguing the inner ears
braking my focus, to which i stared
at the investments of display,
coffee colored as African wild flowers
or Philippine purple finches
or a rare set of Tropical tortoise
shells, branded with easy grip handles
for simple people
worthless and kind, waiting in line
happy they started something
pathetically purposeful
