Description
The bracers are displayed on my dad's arms.Used:
leather: 7 - 8 oz
dye - dark brown, black
paint - platinum, bronze
rivets - med. black double-cap, large silver with black cap
buckles - silver
sewing awl
finish
These bracers are made for an average full sized man's arm.

I can't remember how they looked in the film - but you did a great job capturing the tolkien feel. :')
I must say they look a little more flashy than they seem effective - but isn't that always the case with fantasy armor? x'D

When ever I start selling bracers, I'll make sure to put the measurements down; I can't remember what they were with this bracer, sadly.

Nice work! Love the paint job. Is the platinum and bronze acrylic-based? I've been looking for something that replicates metal well.

Thank you, I'm not sure if they are acrylic based or not, but the full name of the paints are called Precious Metals Premium Leafing Finish: Platinum and Martha Stewart Living: Metallic Glaze Special Finish. I hope that helps you.

Very neat, though I think the modern-looking rivets take away from everything, they're distracting. I'm no expert by any stretch, I'm only saying.

I know what you mean. They are distracting but they were the only rivets that I had.

I don't even know what some decent options might be, like something soldered to them, to hide it? Maybe some sort of rough-looking primitive rivet.

That would look cool. I think that I'll try to find some that look like that; could be useful for most of my bracers. I can't solder, I've tried XD Not on rivets, but wires. Soldering is not my cup of tea to say the least.
