“I wonder if I even remember how to use this thing…” It had been many years since Brian had dropped playing the guitar… but recently when passing by a garage sale, he had found a fairly battered one for dirt-cheap, and decided to give it another shot. Most likely, he'd completely forgotten how to do it, but maybe muscle memory would kick in?
“What to play…” Brian murmured, searching online for something he could try to play. “Hmm?” One of the song's names seemed to ring a bell, and he clicked on it. “Don't say ‘lazy’...” He seemed to recall that name from an anime he had watched years ago… couldn't say what though.
Raising his hand to the strings, Brian took a deep breath and began to play slowly. The melody was definitely familiar… Where did he recognize it from? Brian narrowed his eyes and racked his brain, unaware as the arms holding up the guitar slimmed, losing much of their muscle. His hands became more delicate too, and slowly began to play the guitar with a bit more familiarity. Maybe it was the muscle memory… maybe.
"Hmm… hmmm.. hmm…" No, he definitely remembered this song - bits and pieces of its melody slowly resurfaced in Brian’s mind, letting him hum along as he played. It filled him with a sense of nostalgia, like a fond childhood memory… but that seemed wrong, somehow? He brushed away some of his longer hazel hair, larger eyes focusing on following the score.
Brian sat up straighter, posture correcting itself as his spine shortened to decrease his height. He even seemed to remember some of the lyrics, probably because he’d heard the song over and over again in some opening or ending. As Brian switched from just humming to vocalizing, muddling his way through what little he remembered of the Japanese lyrics, his chest puffed out into two petite breasts, forming slight mounds on the front of his shirt.
He began to smile, voice cracking and gaining a higher, feminine pitch as Brian’s heavily accented Japanese began to sound more natural, flowing more smoothly. And the same could be said of his playing, while he had been playing hesitantly before Brian was now playing the song like he’d practiced it countless times before, with considerable skill and ease.
“自分を許さなきゃ, 他人も許せない...” Brian stood up and instinctually struck a pose, like he was performing in front of an audience of none. This gave his rear room to grow out a little, legs becoming a little more shapely as they filled with fat. Brian’s clothes had slowly begun to change as well… his casual attire now looking much more akin to a school uniform, blue blazer over a white blouse and a thin ribbon tied at the collar.
“Please don’t say ‘You are lazy’~ だって本当は crazy!” Practically belting out the chorus, Brian didn’t notice his pants becoming a plaited knee-length skirt, or his male anatomy shifting as it was repurposed into a female’s slit - she was too caught up in the music! And as she finished the final chorus and the song slowly wound down, it seemed like a haze was coming over her mind, making it hard to think about anything else…
“Yui~!” “Ahh!” She started as she felt a finger flick her forehead, staring at the offender with tears of pain in her eyes. “Why’d you do that, Ritsuuuu!?” “I knew you were an airhead, but I didn’t know you were that much of an airhead!” Ritsu huffed, putting her hands on her hips. “We were just talking about your performance, and you were standing there staring into space…”
“Ahh.. haha!” Yui laughed, rubbing the back of her head. “I guess I must have been hungry…” “You can eat later! Our practice’s not yet over…” In a matter of minutes the club room was filled once more with the lively sounds of pop music, and Yui smiled happily as she lost herself in the music once more. This was just the place she wanted to be…
