Don’t know exactly how I came up with this,* nor am I entirely sure I want to know what it reveals about my psyche. O.o But I must admit to having being rather pleased with this when I drew it. XD Now, this was rejected from Lemmy’s Land as a caption pic, not for its gratuitous violence but for its lack of caption potential. Meh. I thought it was plenty caption-worthy myself, thanks. XD (Nothin’ ‘gainst Lemmy, mind you.
)This was all about eight months ago. XD So, ‘bout time it wound up on dA!
*I think it MIGHT have something to do with spewing Boos with Yoshi fruit juice in Super Mario Sunshine to use them as platforms/stepping stones, but that’s just a theory.

Hah, sorry, this picture just reminded me of that. Angela and I repeat this line sometimes as a running gag. It is rather weird when you think about it.
Perhaps not with a hookshot, but I could see something like this used in a Mario game; swinging from Boo to Boo like that...

It IS rather wierd but what's even wierder is just how awesome such a lamely redundant item can be.

Yes, I'm not downplaying just how awesome the hookshot is - after six or so appearances, it still remains one of the most awesome items. I mean, just look at the special attention it got in Ocarina of Time, just to receive it.
It does seem very Mario like - the games have a history of using enemies in interesting way to get around.

Well, uh... hm! Good point there.
(But with Mario all smiles and Link all... grimaces? (XD), I notice that in the first Smash Bros. game Link looked rather more light-hearted than usual, while in the later editions Mario looked remarkably more serious. XD It appears nesiscary for them to adjust to each other SOMEHOW. XD)
