Still tinkering at this pic's concept.. added a bg.... still busy with 'school art'ref from.....
doesn't look like her...
Just thought of why i wanted the black neck covering. There's this story i read as a kid about this woman that always wore a black ribbon around her neck. She always wore it and she married this guy and he one night decides to unwind it. To his horror her head fell off her body. Appearently the ribbon had been keeping her head on her shoulders. I think that's how the story goes.. I always wanted to do something with it. So here it is. I have a weird fascination.

I love the hair. Has a very J.O. Barr feel to the concept. It's not just the bird, she seems very regretful, like she's looking over her shoulder into the past and wishing she could change it.

what impresses u about this pic? I'm kinda rusty in the PS painting domain... since i've been working with just oil painting and some acrylic stuff because of school. I'm thinking of posting school crap on my website.. i'm thinking of just tearing it down and doing a simple layout since i'm lazy.

thanks... i won't go into detail and ask why you don't like the face but i know why i don't like the face... but i think her face has character and she's not one of the generic 'pretty goth models'.
