Stupid Simba's the Hyenas is the reason Nala helped get you back here,

The same hyenas who tried to kill him and Nala when they were cubs. The same hyenas who didΒ kill Mheetu, Chumvi, Tojo, and Malka.

Actually, if I remember correctly Shenzi, Banzai, and Ed weren't there when Tojo, Chumvi, and Malka were killed. Just random unknown Hyenas.

Scar did instructΒ Shenzi to take her clan to "find" them, so she was definitely there, and it's safe to assume that Banzai and Ed were there as well. They just didn't show up in the later pages when the hyenas cauht up with the cubs and, well, did what they were ordered to do.
Though either way I wasn't talking about that trio specifically.

Save for the cub that Zira is bearing in her belly, IΒ΄ve lost trace of Nuka (and where is Vitani?) ever since page 139 or 140, I think... 
On another note, ZiraΒ΄s comment on the 2nd frame in this page makes me remember that Disney made Scar look as if he was just a rogue intruder lion with whom Simba bore no genetic relationship (which in this case is quite loyal to real lions- fighting a lion that does not share your genes) and against whom Simba had no remorse to fight (quite loyal to real lions, too); but Scar has always been SimbaΒ΄s uncle.
Besides, we should never forget how much did Simba, as a cub, appreciated Scar; a feeling that I guess Simba kept as he grew up. That must have made SimbaΒ΄s return and his fate to fight a relative so beloved to him in the past not that easy, psychologically speaking. But well... Hollywood is Hollywood.

Nuka and Vitani stayed in the Outlands probably with a lioness to look after them. Zira wouldn't have brought them knowing something was wrong I think.Β
