I made up there favorite colors.Hidan's: Red. It's the color of blood. And Also the color of his sythe. He probally painted it red. Ever hear of a sythe that you already buy red? I don't think so. I think he painted it red cause he liked the color, cause it's blood.
Kakuzu's: Green. Color of money. Very simple love of money. Kakuzu loves that green gold!
Sorry if you don't think these are their REAL favorite colors. But it makes sense to me. So that's how they stand for this story.
