When I started drawing this, this seemed like fun goofy idea, but as I continued working on it, I started thinking that this could easily be considered horror or even gore. If I did't use such bright colors and didn't put a smile on the characters face, it would definitely be some kind of horrible competition to the death. However, I still view this as a fun image, or is it just me and I'm even weirder than I thought? Tell me what you think.I had fun playing with exaggerated and broken perspective and really bright colors on this one. Please view this at full size for the best view of all the detail.

lol how u know if ghost do not exist . there are so many people seen ghost time to time and still come to them this days. english is my second language also since i am korean born and came to usa when i was a kid

And a lot of people think spaghetti monster is real and I don't believe in that either. I'm a man of logic and I need proof to believe crazy stuff like ghosts not some dumb little stories from random people. The crazier the idea, the better proof you need and ghost are pretty much as unbased in reality as it comes.

I really like how the elements are all fragmented and blocky, I particulary like the shoe closest to the viewer. The whole picture is interesting to look at, it spurs my imagination and I´m curious to what she is up to. Nice colors and different in the good sense.

Is this a study of Robert Williams work? It fits his style of foreground/background (more realistic in fore, cartoon/pattern in back), subject matter and color palette. If so, great job.

No, not really. To be honest I'm not sure who Robert Williams is. I don't like to do any kind of work based on work by other people, I find it boring. Some similarities are unavoidable having in mind the share amount of art that exists. Anyway, in my mind any kind of work that is based on the authors own ideas is higher than most work based on someone else’s style. This is why I don't like fan art.
I did the more cartoonish and less detailed work in the background because I tried to clearly separate foreground from background and because I liked the style of it. If I didn't do this, the whole picture would be very hard to read having in mind how colorful and crowded it is, it's just common sense.

I understand and agree with the reasoning behind your choices. You really should check out his book "Views From a Tortured Libido." I think you will appreciate some of the painting techniques and mixture of styles in his work.

In my mind this is a weird game in which the main rule is that everything must be alive. That includes the ball, clothes, the floor and so on. You are free to interpret the image differently, though.

This reminds me of some of Rin Tezuka's art in the visual novel ' Katawa Shoujo'. pikkirby.deviantart.com/art/Ka… . It's quite interesting and I love the concept of the 'flesh ball' as weird as it sounds.

I think I see what you mean, both images have trippyness and bright colors in common. But what a strange place to find something similar, if I remember correctly, katawa shoujo was about a bunch of disabled girls. That's hilarious to me. Then I was drawing this it came to me that this has some similarities to a comic or manga spread page because of the exaggerated perspective though.

Yeah, this was a bad tracing of the original small scene in which this reminded me of. And it is kinda a weird thing to think of disabled people and etctera. My comment actually sounds kind of offensive now. Haha I assure you that wasn't my intention! I like it by the way, if I didn't mention that originally.

I don't think it's offensive, it's just funny to me that such a strange visual novel somehow entered the conversation out of nowhere. Besides, I'm really hard to offend, you should really try hard to do that. I think a lot of people are way too sensitive and take everything too seriously.

I was expecting this question sooner or later and despite what you might think based on my deviant art page, I don't smoke everything. I don't even drink alcohol, I don't even smoke cigarettes. I have enough craziness as it is, I don't need to add any more. Unless I take drugs while sleepwalking. Doesn't seem likely, but who knows.
On the other hand, if I feel adventurous and slightly suicidal, I do live near a forest and I know where to find some hallucinogenic mushrooms.
