He had not truly slept in hours, the thoughts racing through his mind would not allow him the pleasure of slumber - Gods knew he needed it. The Silverwood was still bathed in darkness, as was the Vale beyond the trees - minus the burning bonfire at the center of the grounds, that much always stayed the same. On any other day, the herd would have been asleep - waking with the first light of Grian’s watchful eyes, but today was something else. It was a Coronation - more specifically, his. Skuldafn’s. After today, he’d no longer be a General - he’d be a King. Their King. Silverthorne’s King. And that crowd off in the distance, whose shadows danced upon the grass b
