You have done the impossible.
It might take decades to pull off this exposure. Capturing a full Moon and with clouds at night is too extreme a light stop range. I know, I have tried to do it.
It can be done late in the day, by balancing the extreme tonal range, but at night, unless there are extreme circumstances, as in a lunar eclipse, you might as well just forget it.
Hats off to you. It is a great image to be proud of. In fact it is so good, I question if it was manipulated. If it was, OK, but if it is a single exposure, it is fantastic,

it is not a manipulation other then contrast control, trying to get rid of the noise. As said to another wasn't going for the clouds, just wanted to get the dark spots of the moon because needed it in my 3D. So it was ice cream so to say when saw the clouds too.

I agree with Eugene that this is a great, moody shot - well done! And looking at your comments, in difficult light, yes, driving the controls yourself is the only reliable way to go. The nice thing with digital is you get quick feedback.
Having tried a few these, I think the thickness of the clouds is the magic sauce. With just the right cloud density, it drops the moon brightness nicely. You were there, with the correct exposure set, and caught the moment when it came together. No less kudos to you though - it is a great photo.

a beautiful comment, many thanks, Over a hundred pictures taken to get one. And was growing very frustreated. really wasn't going for the clouds, just to get the dark patches on the moon. The clouds were a bonus that blew mind.

ITO Exif data/ statistics, I think it must depend on the tool? I'm a GIMP user, and it all pulls through fine on export. I think PS is the same, but I've never used Paintshop!

so far Corel photo paint doesn't and don't think corel paintshop pro does either. Usually use Corel graphic suite, but on occasion do use paint shop pro to open a raw file.

That was a very difficult shot. had to override all the camera controls cause it kept wanting to make the moon to bright. so thank you much
