This is actually the work of , in the perspective that he performed this and I took the photograph. Have you heard of orbitals? Well... it can be used in light show performances. Basically, he uses zipties to attach two of these ([link]) together, without the keyrings, so they're facing away from each other. Two shoestrings are attached on each side, and then he whirls them around so they become wound up, and tugs them apart so they spin uber fast, and moves them around and does tricks with them to perform a light show! So, yes, the photo is just two small LEDs... some that fade or flash different colors, as you can tell.

I enhanced the color and removed unnecessary background color besides black, blurred it, etc... I used Photoshop CS4, not like it matters with how much basic work has been done.
