Description Duhurr, corny title, but I'm so burnt out on this picture that I can't bother to think up anything else.

This was a commission for Ace Bearpaws of his character, performing some wind-magic in the woods. I'm actually fairly pleased with how this came out, we decided to make it look sooort of like an animation cel, what with the flat-shaded character and painted background.

Oh my lord, do I need to learn how to do backgrounds 8| And decent lighting. Still! I'm satisfied, and so was he, so it's all good.

Huwaah shh your backgrounds are very pretty and atmospheric ;3; I need to work more on mine too XD I'll get all proud of them, but then go peek over at like conceptart.org and be like, "... DAMNIT."

Keep at it! I remember admiring certain artists, like, five years ago and thinking "there's no way I'll ever be able to do that".

Yet I look at the same artists now and in some ways feel that I've surpassed them. So it's all relative. The best stuff to compare yourself to is your own!

Trust me, my art from like 2000 is just hiiiilariously bad.

Yay Liz you finished it! I love your background! It's so painterly and soft and sets the mood of the forest! Yes, the animation cell look for Ace was a good call! He really stands out to the eye and yet still looks like he's supposed to be in that setting. I like the slight glow of his tail markings. Its very well done and you should be proud of yourself! Ima fav!
