Description Since the Z-95 Headhunter, unlike the X-Wing, is not equipped with a hyperdrive, I figured it might be able to use a hyperdrive carrier ring like the one used by the Jedi Starfighters in the prequels.

This particular Z-95 Headhunter belongs to the Empire; specifically, the infamous Emperor's Hand, Mara Jade herself. You can see her sitting in the cockpit. To build this thing, I just took the old hyperdrive booster ring from an old LEGO set, and added aΒ TON of detail; I put plating on both sides of the ring's structure to cover all the ugly technic pieces, which the set did not have. I also added those big generator things for a little more detail. I also had to rebuild the cradle to accommodate the Z-95 Headhunter, which is much bigger than the Jedi Starfighter... at least in LEGO form.

I wish I could really build this thing out of actual LEGO bricks; but that would require me to tear up my X-Wing to build the headhunter, and then I'd have to find one of the old "Jedi Starfighter with Hyperdrive Booster Ring" sets, which I don't have; I downloaded the hyperdrive ring from that set off of LEGO digital designer, and then gave it steroids. I do have a Mara Jade minifigure; mine is similar to BrigadierDarman's, only I used a different face, gave her a tan cape, along with a purple lightsaber and a BrickArms DL-44. I'll post a picture as soon as I get a decent camera...

EDIT: Added more detail to the cradle, and tried to cover up more technic pieces. Also improved the hyperdrive engines.

EDIT 2: Made significant modifications to the cradle.

EDIT 3: Updated with my new version of the Z-95 Headhunter, which has two engines instead of four.

Really? The books I've read say they don't.

I'd hate to speak contrarily like this, but either your books are outdated or incorrect. They wouldn't be as prominent if they didn't have lightspeed capabilities anyway
