EYOO looks like it's Ancients stuff again!

Ok so quite a few people asked about Sticks' ancestor,but I really had so little material to work on,not even in the concept arts of the game where I get ideas mostly.
However,some time ago I received on the Ancient Ask blog an interisting suggestion,so I finally decided to do something about this ancestor(ahah yeah and I forgot to post the coloured version here earlier whooPSIE POOPSIE).

I'll just copy her trivia here:
"Here’s Root the Badger (the Sage), Sticks’ ancestor.
Following yenrisan 's suggestion,I thought of her not exactly as one of the Ancients,for she prefers to live on her own,although she helps them whenever she can;she's been close friends with Rose for a long time;Root travels a lot and has the desire to know anything about everything,so she can share stories to the ones who are willing to listen.
Also (thanks to the Sonic Boom episode “Sleeping Giant”),I thought it would be cool that she knew how to calm the Granifier Giganticus ,like Sticks could!

On the right there's again Root, but after the exposure to the Primal Crystal.
Once she discovered about the incredible potential of this legendary gem,and the possibility to gain the power to know what seemed impossible to know,the events of the future,Root made the fatal mistake to try to harness that power…
It worked.
For the first few seconds.
Again as yenrisan suggested, the exposure to the Primal Crystal made her lose sight in her right eye,fried most part of her brain(she could hardly remember things,acting weirder than usual,rambling “apparent” nonsense things to the others) and the inevitable Crystal Sickness."
I imagine her fur with some greyish/white parts,to show how quite old she is (don't know exactly how many years she would have tho )
That's...pretty much all I have about her for now? But obviously if you have questions ask away,I'll try to give as much info as I can ^u^
