So this used to be my HMM Liger Zero Schneider, but as I was working on it, I didn't notice that the bag of armor pieces fell onto the floor and instantly became a chew toy for my dog ;v; But it gave me an opportunity to make a custom I've been wanting to do and I already have a new Schneider on its way.This is an extremely easy custom to pull off if you're interested in doing so. The armor fits well onto the HMM body without much editing of the armor itself. I think the most work in altering the armor was the piece that covers the neck and upper back to allow the neck to still have full movement. Some of the pieces use the pegs to attach to the body like the HMM armor pieces do, and some are just glued directly on since I have no means of changing the armor and seemed like a pointless hassle to figure out. As you can see, I am missing a few pieces, such as the back of the hind legs and all the little pieces that go on the sides of the paws. idk where they are.
The original Hailstorm custom on the standard motorized body (which now sports the red Zero armor):

Thanks! I do too... it's just so pretty *w* Would have loved to see Koto's take on it as well, but at least I was able to make my own version. The armor looks sooooo good on the hmm Zero.

I really like it when the old Tomy parts meld together with the new Kotobukiya HMM bodies. Makes for some interesting customs. Would totally do a photo session for this.

Yes! So do I. Esp with this armor set since it has always been one of my favs. I honestly think it looks better on the Koto body too. On the tomy version, I always felt like the shoulder/hip armor pieces looked to bulky, but think they look fine here. I'm sure you would have a blast photographing him!

Good thing I read the description cause I thought "Wow it could also wear the Liger Zero armors!" Such a good custom job, honestly thought that was the model and it just came with the ability to add on some additional armor or steal some from the Zero. How do you get the little detail jobs done? I want to do a few little things to some of my HMM guys to make them pop a bit more but unsure how and afraid of messing them up

lol thanks! It's a pretty easy to custom to do. For the details, I have a very small sized tip brush set and I like using acrylic instead of enamel. I keep a slightly damp cloth to wipe off excess if I paint outside of where I want to detail, but you have to get it right away for the paint to wipe off. I use craft paint for details only since they're in locations that I don't have to worry about chipping or rubbing off. It's easier to get craft paint off than model paint if you make a mistake.
