Inspired by: Stellar Dreams - DimensionsOh man have I've been messing with this one for quite some time and I hope it paid off lol So this is a follow up to "Under the Stars" as far as extending what I can do art wise. In that piece I totally figured out how to really achieve a gorgeous nebula, but I wasn't really satisfied with the city. Then in this one I figured out how to do a glowing city a lot better. It more or less happened by making the city lights a lot smaller and have more of them all together. Then the glow and colors were achieved with some layering of different color and color dodge layers. Up close they're actually just blobs of using the fuzzy air brush :'D
As per usual I really wanted to give a sense of vastness and further capitalize on the theme of how small we are compared to the universe. It really fits with Jagd and Auscura as well (they're always the couple I use in these) since they're main joy is discovering new worlds/places and the realization of just how much and how endless the possibilities are.

Thanks! How I did the city is explained in the artist comments. The nebula's done with lots of layers of various cloud brushes and my own custom brushes I've designed specifically for making them.

It took me awhile to figure out how to do the city and then to do all of the lights ;v; Luckily I made a custom bokeh brush to help really speed things up~
