Description
This was an unexpected project, like came out of nowhere project. If you follow me on tumblr, you already know that I wasn't a big fan of the design and thought it was rather cheesy and was just too much. But also I thought the design had the potential of looking really cool and interesting with some adjustments (such as toning down the implied hair and make it feel/look more metal as well as focusing on how to make her head seem more robotic rather than stuck a geisha head on a TF body. Made her lips and mouth not stand out so much and distracting by making it smaller/subtle. etc) But anyhow, I hope I did her design justice and I look forward to reading her comic ^^On Tumblr

one nitpick; its not Geisha, its Kabuto that she is designed after.

Isn't that Kabuki? I thought Kabuto was a helmet design. Yeah her face makeup is definitely kabuki, but the rest of her design still looks more Geisha to me regardless of whatever they say she's designed after since Kabuki doesn't always have that styled hair and hair ornaments.

Wow, so very ultra cool.Β I love her coloring and the details are just so cool.Β Much too detailed for the shows or animation but great for comics or manga where you can embellish a bit.

Wonderful work. Really magnificent !! I love EVERYTHING about it. The femme (even when I find her normaly a little bit too colorful), the coloring Β (the metalic look of her...whatever it is...itΒ΄s gorgeous), the bg...It would be great to commission you for an image. Maybe sometime...?

Yeah I'm kinda disappointed they just defaulted him back to what you'd expect. I mean sure, it's typical Starscream, but I was hoping for some actual character development where he'd learn from the past. But it looks like we're just starting the same game all over again =v=;
Thanks! I was never crazy about her design honestly, but I think I managed to make her at least look interesting X3 I'll keep you in mind whenever I open commissions back up. I have a big job project coming up that will eat all my free time so we'll see.

Starscream is my favorite Transformer. But to be honest, I would have been surprised if he had learned from the past. I mean, all this millions of years...DonΒ΄t you think, it was enough time to learn out of mistakes (of course, this also applies for the others) ? XD

I honestly loved Drift from the very beginning but I also never payed any attention to his promoting. I also LOVE over the top cheesy samurai fighting action (like Metal Gear Rising is my favorite thing ever just for that) so I'm willing to give her a chance. I do hate how it feels copy/paste so far though.

I guess I'd have to agree with you on the design elements. It does basically look like they cut and paste a human head on a robot body. Maybe if her head was more like a helmet and less like hair, the Geisha like face wouldn't be as distracting, like you said?

Yeah like I think she looks really cool as a stand alone robot design. Like if someone just said I want to make a geisha robot with kabuki face makeup, then it's a really cool design. But to me it's just too much to look like she can fit in with the Cybertronian style and look. The design is just too much of something that's already so familiar on Earth so when you say she's an alien robot, it just seems silly.
