All that yucky brown is actually gold ink; the stuff doesn't scan worth a damn, but I'm absolutely in love with it nonetheless.

Well, digital is SO easy for anyone to learn right? No wonder it's so pervasive! I have to admit though, I use it often when I'm just doing a character sketch, and not something 'finished'.
ANYHOW. Um. This, and the rest of the series, was done using watercolour pencils, acrylic and ink, as well as some special gold ink. Highlights were done with a white gel pen.

I'm guessing you used acrylics for the general grey stuff, and w/c pencils for hair/skin and ink/gold/white gel pen is well obvious.
Geez, i'm a huge art nerd in this respect, I love all sorts of mediums, I'm getting out of my acrylic phase right now (more out of sheer frustration, I need a darn sprayer!).
